Meadowbrook Farms

It was a beautiful day at Meadowbrook Farms! The weather and grounds were gorgeous. We had a tour of the house by a docent who had been a personal assistant to Mr. Pennock for about 20 years. She gave us a few personal observations and insights about Mr. Pennock and some of his visitors, including Grace Kelly and the Nixons. (Mr. Pennock did the flowers for Julie Nixon's wedding at the White House.) Very interesting.

Main Street Planters Fall '09

The Main street Planters are ready for Fall and Autumn in Moorestown!
Thanks to Anyce and Deirdre and their crew of helpers.
Hopefully, the store owners will do their part to help keep the planters watered. As with the parking lot, if you are downtown and happen to see something that needs to be done (such as trash, weeds or withering) Please, Please, do what you can to help. Of course, you would have to carry around some water in your car to help a thirsty plant and no one really expects you to do that, but hey why not? It could mean the difference between life or dried up death to a little mum.
Any way, at least think about calling Anyce if you see a planter in dire straits and don't have time (or water) to help it. She, or I, or Deirdre, or someone, may be able to rescue it before it's too late. Thanks.

Village Parking Lot Clean Up Fall '09

Thanks to everyone who showed up to tackle those pesky parking lot beds!
A special thank you to Gretchen and Pearl for Chairing this program and for the little gifts.
If you have signed up to 'adopt' a bed, please check on it periodically for weeds and debris over the fall and winter. And a little water for the mums wouldn't hurt either.
And even if you haven't signed up to be responsible for a particular bed, feel free to pick a weed or two anytime you are back there. Any bed, any time!
Thanks again.
